EverMed is a Toronto based company that designs and manufactures heated clothing. Through research and development they have designed battery heated, all weather clothing so consumers can enjoy their favorite winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, ice-fishing, and snowmobiling without having to bundle masses of clothing on to stay warm.
EverMed bases its heating technology on a flaky heating element surrounded by silicone as opposed to resistors or wires. This design makes the element more energy efficient and gives it higher thermal conductivity. These heated rubber pads are then sewn into the clothing and powered by a rechargeable lithium battery. Because the pads are coated in silicone, they are safe from electric shock and machine washable. They also have an excellent resistance to oil, solvents, and other chemicals.
Currently EverMed offers black vests and jackets in men’s and woman’s sizes. They will be expanding their heated clothing line to include full body coverage in the near future.
