The IFG Corporation is a Canadian owned, Ontario based company that has been producing instrumentation for the field of geophysics since 1979. IFG designs and manufactures a variety of small diameter borehole sensors for mining, geophysical, and environmental applications. Their next generation line of instrumentation was launched in 1984.
Products include borehole probes that measure conductivity, diameter, gamma spectral density, orientation, galvanic resistivity, and temperature. They also offer combo probes in a variety of different designs. Borehole winches that allow for the deployment of various sensors into horizontal boreholes are available with or without motors. Additional hardware such as dummy probes and winches, depth counters, and remote current electrodes is available as well.
IFG has developed software for use in borehole data acquisition, magnetic modeling, spectral gamma data processing, and magnetic vector processing.
