Microlites Scientific is a wholly Canadian owned and operated company that manufactures and distributes specialty and technical lamps, including ultraviolet, infrared, halogen, mercury, and xenon lamps. Microlites was founded in Toronto in 1985 as a division of the West-East Trading Company Limited. Their products are primarily used as replacement lamps for scientific and technical applications, which range from optical instruments like microscopes to photo laboratories and projection equipment.
Microlites is a leading supplier to both retail and wholesale level operations in Canada, the US, and Europe. Their catalog includes over 15,000 different bulb types over 100 different manufacturers.
A core part of the Microlites business model is a simplified procedure for finding replacement bulbs for client’s equipment, which revolves around the Microlites catalog number. Microlites catalogs bulbs according to a 3 number system that encodes a lamp’s generic attributes like voltage, wattage, and base. Because this system excludes proprietary designators, Microlites is able to provide generic substitutions of equal performance, and clients are able to avoid stocking the same type of bulb multiple times under different manufacturer’s part numbers.
Late in 2011 we were trying to find someone who would upgrade and modernize our old website. After having interviewed a number of designers, we were lucky to come across Khaztech. They were able to create a completely new, fully designed website which meets all the new standards of HTML5; Iphone/IPod and Flash incompatible devices, at a very reasonable price.
Within weeks, we received a complete version of a working website, which included Search Engine Optimization, Gallery, Contact form, Direction map, CMS – Content Management System, a software that enables us to manage a gallery, news and other events on our own, without any further help from Andrey.
We were pleased and very much impressed with the vast knowledge that Andrey and his team possess in creating and designing websites. We do not hesitate to highly recommend him to anyone interested in having a first-class website.
